With dozens of tools available to help you start your internet business, are you still stuck for an idea?  This is why we created Niche Business Blueprints !

Find dozens of hot niches just waiting for you to start up your money-making business. As an internet business entrepreneur, I have successfully set up and run a number of websites over the past five years.

Our Business Story

Early in 2010 I sold one of my most profitable websites for over $51,000.  This was a site with great traffic, a good Alexa ranking and a ton of backlinks.  It was creating income through the Adsense program, and was a valuable asset.

One of the things I love is learning new things and researching data.  Over the years I’ve built up a raft of cool tools, such as SEO Elite and Market Samurai to help carry out this research quickly & efficiently.

There’s just one problem, being so successful means that there were literally dozens of internet business ideas that there simply  isn’t time to pursue, yet all the keyword research and monetization ideas are already in place.

You can now find these ideas packaged up for you to steal from under your competitors noses – ready to aim for that top Google ranking!

Whatever type of internet business you are going to get involved in, or are already involved in, it’s likely that the aim is to work LESS hours than your current job.

I’ve read a number of books by entrepreneurs, but one of the best and most inspirational has to be “The 4-Hour Work Week” by Timothy Ferris.

From helping you to be in a position where you can create time to start you online business whilst still working, Timothy also offers some sound and inspiring advice as to how to ensure that you not only regain your work-life balance, but that you can even include travel and any other pastime you choose, whilst still earning a full time income.

Subtitled “Escape the 9-5, live anywhere and join the new rich” the book is a New York Times bestseller and deservedly so.  Not only does it explain how you can do this , forget about the old way of looking at your “retirement” the book also introduces some concepts that can maximise your income whilst minimising your input.

Wherever you are at on your journey, this book is a must have read.

Just came across dmiracle.com which has some great tips for small business to promote themselves.

4 Simple Questions To Help You Start & Grow Your Business

“More than anything, you need a plan. You need to know what you’re about and how your service will help other people. That’s the first step. Some would say you next need a business plan, a marketing plan and a clear revenue model (you do need to know how you’re going to make money, after all).

But I think it’s much simpler than all that.”

Dawud explains things clearly and simply for small business owners who are looking to promote their business online.

Niche ideas are all around you!  As you go through your day, just observe what’s happening – the mom and baby in the stroller, what might they need?  How did she find or buy the stroller?  The businessman reading on the subway, what information is he looking for?

Your Own Experience & Ideas

Wherever you are in life, there’s something that you’re passionate about.  if you’re passionate about it and enjoy it, you’re more likely to stay enthusiastic and make money.

So, it’s time to brainstorm, so get out a piece of paper and a pen (or the notes on your pc or smartphone).

Ask yourself a few simple questions:-

  • What have you learnt or studied about?
  • What hobbies have you had?
  • What problems do you help your friends solve?
  • What places have you visited or travelled to?
  • What jobs have you had?
  • What do you love to talk about?
  • What advice to people ask you for?

This should give you a topics to start with, as a first step in finding markets, before researching your niche.

If you’re still looking for ideas, there are plenty of places online where you can find markets or niches that have already been identified.

Ezine Articles

One of the biggest and most popular article directories, Ezine Articles are always updating their category lists.

Browse through their article categories and drop down lists to find some inspiration.

Amazon

Amazon also offers a similar way to get ideas for niches.

You can drill down into categories by using the left hand “shop all departments” navigation bar.

For example, Sports & Outdoors / Exercise & Fitness / Jump Ropes – this niche took less than 10 seconds to find.

Time to brainstorm – try and find at least five possible niches before you do the next stage of research.

Once you have created a short list of your niche ideas, it’s time to put them to the test.

The Amazon Test

Browse across to Amazon for books or products related to your niche.  Sort by popularity and look to see two things:-

  1. Do they have any reviews?  This is a great indicator as to whether customers get enthusiastic about this niche.
  2. Scroll down to see the products sales rank within Amazon, this is a great way to help compare your niches, if you’re not sure which one to choose

The Magazine Test

You can either browse in your local store or on Amazon, under magazines.

Is there a magazine that’s related to your topic?  If there’s more than one, then bingo, you’ve probably found something worth pursuing further.

The Bookstore Test

If you’re looking to solve a problem, are there a range of books designed to help people solve this problem?  If not, this could be a warning that there are plenty of free resources or other solutions that they can find that don’t involve them spending money.

The Clickbank Test

If you’re looking at creating an information product or e-book, then head over to Clickbank and see if there’s any similar products.  If so, it’s likely that someone’s already making money from it, as they’ve had to invest.

The Google Test

Whatever you’re hoping to sell, it’s unlikely that you’re the first to discover a new niche.

One quick & easy way to see if the niche is likely to be profitable is to type in your “keyword” into Google.  If any Google adverts come up at the top and right of the page, then it’s a sign that other people are already making money on it, so it a big thumbs up for your niche idea!

There are two key reasons why people are motivated to buy online.  People will buy if you can:-

  1. Solve their problem
  2. Entertain them

Solve A Problem

Often people are on the internet because they have a problem.  Under this also comes people who would be happy to pay if it will make their pain go away.

Maybe they have a best mans speech to give tomorrow and don’t have any words down on paper.  At that point you’re pretty desperate.  If you come across a good sales page that offers to instantly help you write your speech in 30 minutes, you’ll probably be happy to pull out your wallet and plug in your credit card number.

Why? Because you need something urgently and need some sleep!

Or perhaps you’ve been suffering from sciatica but suddenly it’s got a lot worse.  You’re lying awake at 1am in the morning and have had enough.  You can’t get to sleep, the drug store isn’t open, but you can browse the internet on your smartphone to find something to help relieve the pain.

If you keep these two points in mind when you’re researching, you’ll save yourself a lot of time and effort persuing unprofitable niches!

Sep 2

You need to find a hot niche – that means that there are plenty of potential customers.

Whilst you may be an expect in something – it’s important to identify that there are plenty of potential customers.

Also, your niche needs to be one where people are prepared to pay for a solution to their problem.

So you need to find a niche that has plenty of traffic with customers who are prepared to pay for your product.

Find A Popular Topic

It’s important to pitch your business well.

Try and pitch to a massive market such as “lose weight” and you could spend years trying to be found on Google.

At the other extreme, trying to make money with a niche like “how to breed pink finned sharktails” could be a little obscure! (Especially since, as far as I am aware, I just made this name up!)

Find Buyers Ready to Make A Purchase

It’s an obvious example, but buyers looking for “free knitting patterns” are not going to be your hottest prospect for selling to.

So you need to find someone looking for a quick solution – something that you can sell them online.  With this in mind, you are in a great position to start brainstorming your niche.
